We believe that God cares about this place and has a plan to bring all of these good gifts together so Merced can be a place that we’re all proud to call home. This involves cultivating, nurturing, and adding value to the resources we’ve been given. As we work the land to produce a good yield, we’re also creating opportunities for people to grow by gaining new skills and knowledge and offering their God-given talents to feed and nourish our community.
Our climate and soil allow us to grow some of the greatest variety and best quality food in the world - providing physical nourishment and bringing people together. We are passionate about growing and offering fresh produce to our Merced County neighbors.
Merced is home to gifted people - including men and women with barriers to employment. We develop the God-given talents of our Restore Jobs trainees who have a passion for agriculture in preparation for careers in the local ag industry.
Our work brings people together who otherwise would never know each other and often creates friendships among people who otherwise would be enemies. Restore Farms creates opportunities for transformative friendships that lead to a stronger and better Merced.
We use farming practices that are consistent with the organic farming principles while seeking to be good stewards of natural resources like soil, water, and the environment.
Each Restore Farms box includes fresh produce that we grow here in Merced County and a carefully selected variety from other growers. Each box includes a list that details where each item comes from and the method of growing used to produce it. When choosing what we include from other growers, we prioritize local growers who utilize similar values.
